Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Miami’s RB earns some well-deserved honors.

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert has been a monster through the first six weeks of the season, as he’s helped his team start 5-1 in Mike McDaniel’s second campaign.

On Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, Mostert recorded another 115 yards and two touchdowns on 6.8 yards per attempt while adding another 17 yards and a score on three receptions.

That performance was strong enough for the 31-year-old to earn AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. This is his first time receiving the award, but the third time this season that a Dolphin has won it (Tua Tagovailoa in Week 1 and De’Von Achane in Week 3).

For the year, Mostert is already up to 429 yards rushing, and he leads the NFL rushing touchdowns with nine.

If he keeps up this he’ll blow past his career-high in rushing yards (891 last year), and he’s already set a new career-high in touchdowns.
