The Badgers football team hosted Iowa at Camp Randall for a conference matchup on Saturday in Madison, losing to the Hawkeyes 15-6. Iowa got out to a 7-0 lead on an 82-yard rushing touchdown by Leshon Williams and never looked back.
Wisconsin lost their starting quarterback Tanner Mordecai (broken throwing hand) in the second quarter and backup Braedyn Locke was thrust into the game.
Although he hung tough, Locke did lose a fumble and throw an interception in the second half when the Badgers were trying to make a comeback. Overall, what did Wisconsin in was the impressive play of the aforementioned Williams (172 rushing yards) and Iowa’s punter Tory Taylor who averaged 50.6 yards per punt in the Hawkeyes’ win.
