Sources: The #Falcons have agreed to trade for #Rams WR Van Jefferson. It’s a 2025 pick swap — 6th and 7th rounders. They hope to recapture his play from 2021. A low-risk, high-reward deal. pic.twitter.com/r5eowZIWjC

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might see a new face on the Atlanta Falcons when they play them on Oct. 22 in Raymond James Stadium.
The Falcons completed a trade on Tuesday for former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson, swapping sixth and seventh-round picks with the Rams in the process. Jefferson joins Atlanta weapons like WR Drake London and tight end Kyle Pitts.
In three games against the Bucs (only two of which he caught a pass), Jefferson has caught five balls for 49 yards and a touchdown on 9.8 yards per reception. As such, Tampa Bay might not be as familiar with Jefferson, but interestingly enough, Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield is — Jefferson’s last touchdown grab in the NFL came from a Mayfield pass last year against the Las Vegas Raiders when Mayfield played for Los Angeles.
As he was just traded, it’s unknown if Jefferson intends to play for Atlanta against the Commanders in Week 6. If he doesn’t, he would surely debut for the team in Week 7 against the Bucs.
