The 2023-24 UNC basketball season is under a month away as the program has officially begun preparation for the campaign.
After last season saw the Tar Heels fail to reach the NCAA Tournament as the preseason No. 1 team, Hubert Davis and his staff are looking to turn things around this year and get back on track. They will do so with some new faces.
In addition to the Tar Heels welcoming in new players through the transfer portal, they will welcome in two freshman was well. One of those players is five-star guard Elliot Cadeau out of Link Academy.
Cadeau opted to reclassify, moving from the 2024 class down to 2023 to join the Tar Heels right away. He’s still one of the best players in the class and a guard that is gaining a lot of hype before the season.
The guard should come in and have a big role as Davis and his staff are hoping he can provide a big spark for the starting lineup, playing alongside R.J. Davis.
