The Boston Celtics have acquired former Milwaukee Bucks champion floor general Jrue Holiday after trading away big man Robert Williams III, 2023 Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, a 2024 Golden State Warriors first round pick, and a 2029 unprotected Boston first round pick to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Are the Celtics now the favorite to win it all again in 2024 by seizing the thunder (and the point guard) from the Bucks? Do they have enough depth after moving such key players? What does the loss of Timelord and Brogdon mean for the chemistry of the ball club? There are a host of questions in need of answers, and with Media Day upon us, some will come from the team.
But for those that do not, the hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast got together to talk through the seismic trade.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear where they came down on this deal.
