Tigers of the Game: Is it time to honor a full unit?

Auburn may not have won the game, but they put a scare into the nation’s top team.

Auburn may not have beaten No. 1 Georgia on Saturday, but they sure put a scare into the nation’s top team.

The Tigers nearly matched every step that the Bulldogs took, but a Heisman-worthy performance from Georgia tight end Brock Bowers in the 4th quarter became the deciding factor in the 27-20 win for Georgia.

After making just two catches for nine yards in the first half, Bowers broke out to haul in four passes for 121 yards in the final stanza. One of his catches ended up being the game-winner, a 40-yard catch with 2:52 remaining in the game.

Despite the tough loss, there were plenty of positive takeaways. Included in those positive notes were the efforts of [autotag]Jaylin Simpson[/autotag] and [autotag]Marcus Harris[/autotag].

Following the game, Auburn Wire writers as well as Auburn fans revealed their picks for “Tiger of the Game” after the tough loss, here are the results.
