(Update: 4:51 p.m.): Final injury reports for both the Bills and Dolphins:
Previous coverage:
The Buffalo Bills will not have Jordan Poyer’s services in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.
Head coach Sean McDermott announced that the Bills (2-1) will be without Poyer. Throughout this week, Poyer has been listed on the injury report due to knee soreness.
The description of the injury makes the issue sound short term, but Buffalo will be without their starting safety against Miami (3-0) this upcoming weekend.
Poyer missing out comes on the heels of a historic win for the Dolphins over the Denver Broncos in Week 3. Miami put up 70 total points.
The effort included four touchdowns for starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Backup Mike White entered the game and threw for a fifth. Receiver Tyreek Hill caught one of those and had 157 yards.
Without Poyer, it’s expected that Taylor Rapp will start in the defensive backfield next to Micah Hyde. It’s likely that Damar Hamlin will be active for the first time this season as well.
Bills Wire will bring full injury updates when the final report is made available on Friday.
