Arkansas guard Davenport booked on misdemeanor charge

Arkansas transfer guard Jeremiah Davenport was arrested Friday morning on a misdemeanor charge.

Arkansas graduate senior guard Jeremiah Davenport was arrested on a misdemeanor charge on Friday morning.

The Cincinnati transfer was booked into the Washington County Jail at 10:24 a.m. and was released 20 minutes later.

More details are likely to come.

Davenport is a perimeter threat and led the Bearcats twice in 3-pointers made in a season while scoring over 1,060 career points in his four years with the Bearcats.

He ranked eighth in the American Athletic Conference (AAC) in 3-pointers made last season while leading the league with the fewest turnovers, committing just 24 in over 900 minutes played.

Davenport was a member of a heavy transfer portal class that included Khalif Battle, El Ellis, Keyon Menifield, Tramon Mark, Denijay Harris and Chandler Lawson.

Arkansas is set to have its Red-White game on Wednesday.
