The NASCAR Xfinity Series went to Texas Motor Speedway for the second race of the Round of 12 and it lived up to the high expectations. It was wild right off the bat when Sam Mayer hit the wall and put himself in a must-win situation alongside JR Motorsports teammate Josh Berry. Meanwhile, [autotag]John Hunter Nemechek[/autotag] won his seventh race of the year on a late restart at Texas.
Nemechek had the best car in the Final Stage and was able to pass Justin Allgaier and Parker Kligerman after the two drivers got out of the groove in Turn 3. It allowed the Joe Gibbs Racing driver to pull ahead and cruise to a spot in the Round of 8. As for Kligerman, his mistake means he continues to sit below the playoff cut-line.
