It has been a rocky start to the season for UNC’s passing attack, but what many hoped for this off-season was on full display with Drake Maye shredding Minnesota’s secondary.
Even after tossing 414 passing yards with two touchdowns, Maye, who was looked at as a lock for a Heisman candidate, is now slipping in some QB rankings. The most recent coming from former Florida State quarterback EJ Manuel releasing his top ACC QB list.
The list features Maye in the top two, but he was not No.1, with Manuel electing to go with FSU’s Jordan Travis as the best QB in the ACC. The list brought quite a reaction, with fans wondering how much bias came into play.
After Maye, the former Florida State QB named Duke’s Riley Leonard, Miami’s Tyler Van Dyke, and rounded off the top five with Syracuse’s Garrett Shrader.
Let us look at how social media reacted to the ACC QB rankings.
