The Arizona Cardinals are big underdogs this week as they take on the 2-0 Dallas Cowboys at home Sunday. But Dallas will come to town without one of their most important defensive players.
Per multiple multiple reports and later confirmed by the Cowboys themselves cornerback Trevon Diggs injured his knee in practice on Thursday and tore his ACL. He will miss the game against the Cardinals and the rest of the season.
Through two games, Diggs has four tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and four pass breakups.
With Diggs, who officially was limited in Wednesday’s practice, out for this game, DaRon Bland will move from the slot to the outside, Jourdan Lewis will slide inside to the slot and then Noah Igbinoghene will be the third corner in their defensive rotation.
