Take a bow, Spencer Brown.
The Bills took home their first win of the 2023 NFL season against the Raiders in a 38-10 fashion. The final score is indicative of how far away these two teams were on the field.
Had the Raiders stood any chance, it likely would have been because of their defensive line. The Raiders did have two sacks, but their top pass rusher Maxx Crosby was kept silent all day long thanks in big part to Brown.
Following a shaky season opener, Brown settled in against Crosby, a player who had 12.5 sacks a year ago. Crosby did have seven total tackles, however, he can create much more havoc than that.
“(Brown) can be so frickin’ good when he puts his mind to it. You saw that today and I’ve got so much faith in him. I got so much trust in him, and he’s just getting better each and every week,” Allen said via video conference.
Following his outing, Brown kept his reasoning why he played so well to a pretty… simple logic.
“The game plan was to get a good night’s sleep and come out here and play your balls off,” Brown said. “I respect the way he plays.”
