Keenan Allen’s touchdown celebration said it all: The Titans are too small.
Justin Herbert dropped back on 4th and 4 from Tennessee’s eight-yard line, but had to deal with pressure from Titans defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons. Simmons got his hands on Herbert, hitting the quarterback in the helmet and drawing a flag. Herbert stumbled but stayed on his feet, scrambling to his left before firing a pass to Allen.
Allen was interfered with but made the catch in the end zone anyway for a touchdown that will be on the end-of-season highlight reel.
The Chargers added a two-point conversion with a pass to tackle Trey Pipkins to take an 11-0 lead.
