The Chicago Bears have released their inactives ahead of their Week 2 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where Chicago desperately needs a win as they look to snap an active 11-game losing streak.
Following a lackluster effort in the season opener, wide receiver Chase Claypool is in fact active, as previously reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. We’ll see if he can bounce back with a strong outing against Tampa.
Right guard Nate Davis was previously ruled out as he’s dealing with a death in his family. Cornerback Josh Blackwell was also ruled out with a hamstring injury.
But there are a couple of surprise inactives with running back D’Onta Foreman, an indication we could see a lot more of rookie Roschon Johnson, as well as wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, who’s the team’s best blocking wideout.
Here’s a look at the Bears’ inactives:
- QB Tyson Bagent
- DB Josh Blackwell
- RG Nate Davis
- RB D’Onta Foreman
- DL Khalid Kareem
- WR Equanimeous St. Brown
Also, a look at the Bucs’ inactives:
- LB SirVocea Dennis
- RB Ke”Shawn Vaughn
- CB Carlton Davis III
- OLB Markees Watts
- OL Brandon Walton
- TE Payne Durham
- DL Calijah Kancey
The Bears and Bucs kick things off at 12 p.m. CT on FOX.
