One of the top players in the 2025 recruiting class, Jaylen Harrell, was offered by Rutgers basketball this week. Harrell was offered while on campus.
Harrell is a 6-foot-6 guard/forward from St. Sebastian’s Country Day (Needham, MA). He holds offers from Alabama, Georgetown, UMass, Providence, Wake Forest and Xavier. He received his offer this week while on a visit at Rutgers.
A four-star recruit, Harrell is ranked by Rivals as the No. 72 recruit in the nation. ESPN has him slotted in as the top player in Massachusetts.
He has some good range and has developed a nice touch from behind the arc. Defensively, he covers a lot of court and is aggressive.

Rutgers currently does not have any commits in their 2025 recruiting class. However, their 2024 class is ranked second in the nation.
The class features Airious Bailey, a five-star forward who is ranked the third-best player in the nation. On of the recruits in the 2024 class for Rutgers, center Lathan Sommerville, recently jumped 31 spots in the 247Sports update.
Sommerville is now the No. 102 player in the nation.
