Stefon Diggs had another All-Pro outing despite the Buffalo Bills’ season-opening loss to the New York Jets.
Diggs had a game-high 10 catches for 102 yards with a touchdown. A strong stat line against a very good Jets defense.
But those aren’t the numbers that really matter to Diggs. He said the 22-16 overtime loss is much more important to him.
When asked if he felt even better about his strong personal numbers in New York after an offseason where negative headlines followed him, Diggs wasn’t having any of it. The win was all he wanted.
“No, not exactly, because we lost the game,” Diggs siad. “I want to win.”
What Buffalo likely needs in order to start grabbing victories is get more production from others on offense. Gabe Davis is confident in himself and the rest of the Bills offense to do just that.
“We had a tough game today, but we’ll shake back and get back,” Davis said to the Buffalo News. “Just trying to get in a rhythm; we found that sometimes, and sometimes we were kind of off beat, so we just have to find a way to stay in the rhythm.”
