Up until this season, D.J. Moore had spent his entire NFL career with the Carolina Panthers. He played college football at Maryland. He didn’t even need a full half of football to learn that Chicago Bears fans are different from anything he’s ever experienced.
In their season-opening matchup with the Green Bay Packers, the Bears put together one of the more disappointing showings of Justin Fields’ young career. The offense struggled to get much of anything going in the first half, and the crowd at Soldier Field let the Bears hear it. Boos were audible throughout the game, and they started early.
So early, in fact, that the frustration caught Moore by surprise. He admitted as much in an interview with 670 The Score on Monday morning.

And then he went on to note that the boos were even louder in the second half.
Moore also had a quiet game. He had two receptions for 25 yards, and those two catches were his only targets of the game.
NFL fans had thoughts on that quote from Moore. The expectations are just different in Chicago. They’re tired of losing to the Packers — that’s for sure.
