Fresh off a 36-14 home opener win against rival Nebraska on Saturday, Colorado moved up four spots in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Head coach Deion Sanders’ Buffs broke into the poll at No. 25 last week and are up to No. 21.
Colorado received 357 votes, six behind the No. 20 Duke Blue Devils, who have also been a great story to start the college football season.
Other big leapers include No. 23 Miami returning to the top 25 and Texas moving up four spots to No. 6 after beating now-No. 10 Alabama. Wisconsin, Tulane and Texas A&M fell out of the top 25.
In addition to Colorado, the Pac-12 had a whopping six other ranked teams: No. 25 UCLA, No. 17 Oregon State, No. 13 Oregon, No. 12 Utah, No. 8 Washington and No. 6 USC. Washington State was just outside of the top 25 with 80 votes.
Colorado also moved up four spots in the AP Poll, landing at No. 18.
