Jason McCourty spent 13 seasons as an NFL player, most notably with the Tennessee Titans, where he spent the first eight years of his career. McCourty won a Super Bowl and is often remembered for playing alongside his twin brother Devin with the New England Patriots for three seasons.
McCourty retired after the 2021 season; he didn’t waste any time going into the media world. In 2022, McCourty landed with “Good Morning Football” on the NFL Network.
In preparation for the 2023 NFL season this week, the four hosts of “Good Morning Football” are making their predictions for the new season.
On Monday, the topic was NFL defensive rookie of the year. McCourty’s choice: Washington Commanders cornerback Emmanuel Forbes.

The No. 16 overall pick from Mississippi State had a standout college career, finishing with 14 interceptions across three seasons, returning six four touchdowns — an FBS record.
Others have also chosen Forbes as the pick for NFL defensive rookie of the year. Forbes said over the weekend that as far as individual goals go, that’s a goal for him in 2023.
McCourty was the only one of the hosts to go with a defensive back.
