An undersized Sam linebacker, Johnson was a sixth-round pick by the Eagles in the 2022 draft, and spent most of the season on the 53-man roster, earning praise for his play on special teams.
With the Eagles drafting Nolan Smith at No. 30 overall, Johnson became the odd man out behind Haason Reddick and Patrick Johnson.
