Former Bills OL David Quessenberry signs with Vikings

Former #Bills OL David Quessenberry signs with #Vikings:

The Buffalo Bills had a few players claimed off waivers when NFL teams were required to reduce their rosters to 53 players.

One veteran not subject to the wire still ended up being picked up by another team.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, offensive lineman David Quessenberry was signed by the Minnesota Vikings.

Quessenberry, 32, originally signed in Buffalo in April 2022. He appeared in 16 games with the Bills last season, making three starts. The team then re-signed him this spring.

During his time in Buffalo, Pro Football Focus gave Quessenberry a pass-blocking grade of 62.3 and run-blocking grade of 53.7.

With the sudden retirement of Brandon Shell and season-ending injury to Tommy Doyle, it appeared that Quessenberry would be the favorite to land the swing-tackle position on the roster, backing up starters Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown.

Instead, the Bills went with a youth movement, keeping Alec Anderson and Ryan Van Demark on their active roster instead. The team went on to sign former first-round pick Germain Ifedi as well.
