Look: Klay Thompson enjoys a game of chess against Manny Pacquiao

Klay Thompson shared a picture of him playing chess with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao to his Instagram story.

Klay Thompson may not be part of the FIBA World Cup, but he has been on a tour of Asia the past few weeks. Thompson has visited China and the Philippines as he promotes his partnership with sneaker giant Anta. Throughout his trip, Thompson has shared multiple videos and images, all showing the five-time All-Star enjoying his time overseas.

However, on Thursday, Aug. 31, Thompson shared a new photograph to his Instagram account, showing him enjoying a game of chess with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao. The picture was shared to Thompson’s Instagram story; however, multiple Warriors fans and media re-shared the image on X (formerly known as Twitter.)

Unfortunately, Thompson never revealed who won the game, which will leave us to imagine multiple scenarios between the two sports stars. Thompson hasn’t been alone during his trip; he is traveling with Warriors teammate Kevon Looney.

As you would expect, Looney and Thompson managed to get a picture with Pacquiao.

With the two Warriors champions being so close to the World Cup, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the two attend some Team USA games to show their support as Steve Kerr continues his bid to guide the national team to the title of world champions.
