One of the top recruits in the nation as part of the class of 2025, Jaylen Harrell has locked in an official visit to Rutgers basketball in September.
A four-star forward from Massachusetts, Harrell is ranked the top player in the state according to ESPN.com. He told 247 High School Hoops that he will be taking unofficial visits to Providence and Rutgers this fall.
He is a 6-foot-6 guard/forward from St. Sebastian’s Country Day (Needham, MA). He holds offers from Alabama, Georgetown, UMass, Providence, Wake Forest and Xavier. He does not yet currently hold an offer from Rutgers according to Rivals.
Harrell is the No. 72 recruit in the nation per Rivals in their rankings for the 2025 class. He retweeted the report from 247 High School Hoops.

As far as 2024 recruiting goes, Rutgers boasts the second-best class in the nation. It features five-star forward Airious ‘Ace’ Bailey.
This week, Rutgers landed a commitment from three-star guard Dylan Grant from Michigan.
