Where should you draft Mahomes?
While quarterbacks typically get taken in the 3rd or 4th rounds, Mahomes runs a high-powered Chiefs offense that tends to put up a lot of points. It may be worth looking to take Mahomes earlier than normal.
As the reigning passing yards leader, with weapons like TE Travis Kelce, WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling and emerging RB Isiah Pacheco, Mahomes will continue to find big yardage and put up good numbers. With more than 40 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions, the reigning Super Bowl MVP continues to find success in games and in fantasy. Combine that with his ability to run the ball and you’ve got the best fantasy QB in the league.
Draft Mahomes in the late 1st round or early 2nd round, but do not let him fall to the 3rd. When healthy, he’s good for around 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns. It may not be traditional to put such a high draft stock on a quarterback, but Patrick Mahomes is a generational talent and a fantasy anchor that will surely allow you to reap the rewards.
