New Bills RB Ty Johnson really does not like the Jets

Ty Johnson, not a #Jets fan:

The Buffalo Bills are adding Ty Johnson as a late-offseason mix in their running back room.

Johnson signed in Buffalo after most recent spending time with the New York Jets. It’s pretty easy to see that he’s going to be giving it his all to shock the world and make the Bills’ final 53-man roster just for a chance to get back at his former team.

Johnson is not a fan of Gang Green.

In March, Johnson re-signed in New York.

Soon after things hit the fan.

Working out on his own, Johnson sustained a pectoral injury. He checked in with the Jets training staff about the situation and he says the team advised him to have surgery.

By April, he was released, and then Johnson decided to reveal the whole situation in May.

Johnson was unhappy the team advised him to go under the knife when he felt like they already decided they would be cutting him.

“I’ve had some dark, dark days, man,” Johnson said in the social media video. “Flew out the next day. Came back happy that I got it done, even though I didn’t want to get it done.

“That following Wednesday, you out of there,” he said.

At this late stage of the offseason, Johnson might very well be auditioning for a role with another NFL team by signing with the Bills. It’s not out of the norm for teams to use depth players for most of the game in their preseason finale, which is what awaits Buffalo this upcoming weekend against the Chicago Bears.

Regardless, there almost certainly has to be a hope in Johnson that he is getting a fair shake at making Buffalo’s final roster..

The Bills do open the regular season against the Jets, after all.
