The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for their preseason Week 1 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

The preseason is a little different from the regular season in that players aren’t formally made inactive. They’re simply not expected to play, either due to injury or otherwise.

Here are the players who aren’t expected to play for the Chiefs:

  • DT Chris Jones
  • RB Isiah Pacheco
  • DT Tershawn Wharton
  • TE Jody Fortson
  • WR Kadarius Toney
  • CB L’Jarius Sneed

Here are the Saints players who aren’t expected to play:

  • WR Tre’Quan Smith
  • WR Rashid Shaheed
  • RB Kirk Merritt
  • LB Demario Davis
  • OL Landon Turner
  • OL Andrus Peat
  • TE Jesse James
  • TE Lucas Krull

Though both teams will be without several promising prospects for the preseason kickoff, the stakes remain low for this matchup. The Chiefs and Saints will look to escape this tilt at full health as they move into the last two games of their exhibition schedules.
