Jordan Phillips was back in the fold with the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The player was activated from the PUP list, but it was a much longer journey than that for the defensive lineman.
Phillips, 30, sustained a late-season shoulder injury last season. While he tried to downplay it at the time, it eventually required offseason surgery on Valentines Day.
While Phillips joked that the surgery got him out of Valentine’s Day duties, the rehab process was otherwise “tougher than expected.”
“Felt good to be back out there with the guys,” Phillips said. “It was a long offseason.”
