Giants’ Bobby McCain anxious to ‘whoop’ Commanders in 2023

New York Giants safety Bobby McCain says he still has love for the Washington Commanders but looks forward to “whooping” them in 2023.

New York Giants safety Bobby McCain is eager to “whoop” division rival Washington Commanders.

The Giants signed the former Miami Dolphins and Washington safety to a one-year, $1,317,500 deal in free agency. McCain was coming off of a bit of a down year in 2022 where he failed to notch an interception and only recorded five passes defensed.

This was a drop off from the year before where he recorded four interceptions (two of them coming against Big Blue) and nine passes defensed. This likely led to him not being re-signed by Washington, motivating him to want to destroy them.

McCain could not hold back his excitement on facing his former employers.

“I believe they might change the name now, I don’t know — I don’t care. I appreciate my time there, I appreciate the guys there, I’ve still got love for them. But we’re definitely going to whoop their (expletive),” McCain told NJ Advance Media.

New York has been pretty successful in the past five years in doing exactly that as they have a record of 6-3-1 against Washington during that span. Big Blue will hope that can continue with the help of McCain.
