ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins on Jaylen Brown’s increased expectations with the Boston Celtics

With the historic contract extension, expectations from fans of the team and analysts alike have increased for Brown.

Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown signed the largest contract in NBA history last week, a five-year supermax contract extension worth up to $304 million with the Celtics. The Georgia native made All-NBA Second Team last season for the first time, setting a number of career highs as he entered his prime playing years with the team that picked him up at No. 3 overall in the 2016 NBA draft.

With the historic contract extension, expectations from fans of the team and analysts alike have increased for Brown and Boston to win championships that justify such a massive outlay of the ball club’s cap space.

That spike in what will be expected from the Cal alum was the topic of conversation from ESPN analyst (and former Celtics center) Kendrick Perkins on a recent episode of “NBA Today”.
