Jaylen Brown’s historic $304 million supermax contract extension elicited quite a bit of criticism from fans of the Boston Celtics in the days after the Georgia native signed the massive deal.
Sticker shock no doubt played a role in that initial wave of criticism.
Since then, a number of renowned NBA analysts have come to Brown’s defense, explaining why the deal makes sense for the Celtics as well as Brown in today’s NBA under the new collective bargaining agreement.
