Jahmyr Gibbs spent only one season with the Crimson Tide after transferring in from Georgia Tech, but his contributions were massive. He was an elite ball carrier and an outstanding pass-catcher. NFL teams took notice and the Detroit Lions managed to land him at No. 12 overall in the 2023 NFL draft.
Gibbs, along with David Montgomery appears poised to serve a major role in his rookie season. It all starts with preseason preparations. Currently, Gibbs and his new Lions teammates are taking part in the franchise’s training camp.
Photos from the camp show Gibbs putting in work and staying focused. This is a bit of a different tune than that of Bryce Young with the Carolina Panthers, who is seen constantly smiling and meeting with fans. It could be differences in the players, the positions they play, or the cultures of the two teams.
