The Brooklyn Nets had a crazy 2022-23 season in which many storylines popped up over the course of the campaign that seemed to distract the team from trying to win the championship. After the shock of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving wanting out, it’s interesting to know that Brooklyn and its fanbase weren’t the only ones who were surprised to hear that Durant wanted a trade.
In a recent appearance on the “Real One With Raja and Logan” podcast, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry talked about a number of topics, chief among them being what went down after Durant asked out of the Nets during the season. As it was pointed out in the show, Curry was excited at the possibility of Durant coming back to the Warriors because of how much fun the two had playing together.
Curry mentioned that he didn’t talk to Durant that much about him coming back to Golden State or wherever he was thinking of going and that the conversation was more of just two friends catching up. Eventually, Durant was traded to the Phoenix Suns in a package that brought Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson back to Brooklyn.
