The Nebraska men’s basketball team filled one of their two open scholarship spots for the 2023-24 season. Keystone Athletic Academy forward Matar Diop announced his commitment to the class of 2023 on Sunday afternoon.
The native from Senegal chose the Cornhuskers over Arizona State, Seton Hall, and Ole Miss, among others. He didn’t start playing organized basketball until he was 13 years old.
Reports state that Diop could not make a recruiting decision until this week when he was academically cleared. Nebraska now has one scholarship available for the 2023 class.
