The Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field for the 2023 college football season in 42 days, as Middle Tennessee State visits Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 2.

Freshman linebacker Yhonzae Pierre currently wears No. 42 for the Crimson Tide but we will now take a look at the last player to wear No. 42 for Alabama, Jaylen Moody.
Moody played for the Crimson Tide from 2018-22 and totaled 95 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one interception in 32 total games played.
Moody went undrafted in the 2023 NFL draft but was quickly picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent.
