Tigers closer Alex Lange dropped a funny expletive after team combined for a historic no-hitter

Alex Lange hilariously let a bad word slip on-air while he was celebrating the Tigers’ combined no-hitter.

Detroit Tigers closer Alex Lange couldn’t contain his uncensored excitement after helping his team throw a combined no-hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday.

Lange combined for the no-hitter with his fellow Tigers pitchers Matt Manning and Jason Foley in the 2-0 home victory.

It’s only the ninth no-hitter in Detroit history and the first combined no-hitter, making the day’s achievement all the more special.

While the Tigers have had a down season with a 39-49 record as of Saturday, it’s never the wrong moment for a team to throw a combined no-hitter.

The Detroit celebration and broadcast call just showed what a cathartic moment this was for a team that could use more of this.

Lange got so excited after the big victory that he dropped an expletive on live television, which came with a very funny apology to the broadcast audience.

Some NSFW language to follow.

Can you blame Lange for being so excited?

This was a career moment for him, and sometimes, you just say what’s on your heart (even if it’s not necessarily appropriate for television).
