No Oregon Ducks were selected in the 2023 NBA draft a couple of days ago, but that story should change when the 2024 draft rolls around.
Several Duck men’s basketball players, some who haven’t even played for Dana Altman yet, are projected to have Commissioner Adam Silver call their name a year from now.
Oregon has a strong recent history of having NBA talent, but it’s been a little bit of a drought. The last Duck player to be picked in the draft is Chris Duarte in 2021 as Indianapolis selected him 13th overall.
The last time the Ducks had multiple players go in the draft was in, to no one’s surprise, was in 2017, the year Oregon made the Final Four. Jordan Bell (Chicago, 38th pick), Tyler Dorsey (Atlanta, 41st pick), and Dillon Brooks (Houston, 45th pick) were all selected that year.
2024 could be the year where that streak of not having more than one player selected is broken and Oregon could have more than one first-rounder. With talent like this, the Ducks could be in for quite the ride this basketball season.
Here are the Ducks that should go and where different outlets expect them to end up.
