Welcome to the slowest part of the NFL’s offseason.

After hiring a coach in January, scouting bowl games in February, signing players during free agency in March, drafting players in April and hosting players for organized team activities in May, the Denver Broncos wrapped up their spring workouts with a mandatory minicamp in mid-June.

The Broncos just finished minicamp on Thursday and players — and coaches — will now have more than a month off before reporting back to the team’s facility for the start of training camp in late July.

“The break is healthy, for the coaches as well,” Broncos coach Sean Payton said. “Everyone knows that when we come back, it’s like getting on an aircraft carrier for six months here. You’re here seven days a week well past midnight.”

Fans in Denver will now hope players will stay healthy and out of trouble leading up to training camp. Enjoy the summer, Broncos Country.
