The Ringer: Nets have received trade calls for Royce O’Neale and Dorian Finney-Smith

The Brooklyn Nets have received trade calls for wings Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O’Neale, per Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.

The 2023 NBA Draft will be upon us next Thursday and as a result, rumors are bound to percolate with every team trying to make the most of this offseason. Per Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the Brooklyn Nets have received calls about possible trades regarding wings Royce O’Neale and Dorian Finney-Smith.

Brooklyn has more wings than it knows what to do with as O’Neale became a bench player after the trades of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving brought in four new players, including wings Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Finney-Smith. Yahoo! Sports’ Jake Fischer reported that the Brooklyn Nets will match any “realistic” offer sheet for Johnson so he should be a Net next season.

Bridges has three more years left on his contract so he will be the other guard/wing that Brooklyn has so O’Neale or Finney-Smith would have to come off the bench if both are on the team next season. O’Neale came to the Nets from the Utah Jazz last summer in exchange for a first-round pick while Finney-Smith came to Brooklyn in the Irving deal.
