Why can’t the Boston Celtics get over the hump?

Can the Celtics find a way to get the formula right before the NBA’s new collective bargaining agreement forces the team to make drastic moves?

The Boston Celtics have had a successful recent run, reaching the Eastern Conference finals five times in seven seasons. They have developed players and drafted well along the way as they transitioned from one era of title contention to another.

However, despite their strong roster and talented players, they haven’t won a title since the start of their current era of contention. The team’s offense relies heavily on 3-point shooting, and a load of off-court issues plagued Boston last season. Finding the right mix of assistant coaches and players to put around stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown has been a challenge.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what the folks behind the “Andy Hoops” YouTube channel had to say about Boston’s troubles getting over the hump.
