Running back for the Detroit Lions, Jahmyr Gibbs, was with the Alabama football program for only one season, but that was more than enough to get the full Nick Saban experience.
The Crimson Tide has had a ton of success under Saban, due to his desire for discipline and perfection. In order for Alabama to succeed on Saturdays in the Fall, the work must be put in on the practice field.
Recently, Gibbs was asked about how the Lions’ practice compares to his time in Tuscaloosa. After a brief chuckle, Gibbs explained that while he gets in some good practices in Detroit, it doesn’t compare to the full pads, two-hour long practices in the Alabama heat.
