Two of Texas A&M’s offensive line targets in the 2024 recruiting cycle made one thing clear on Thursday; The Aggies are in the mix heading into the summer. First, four-star OT Bennett Warren, who placed the Maroon and White in his final four program list, was immediately followed by versatile four-star OL Daniel Cruz, both hailing from Texas.
Cruz, who is set to enter his final high school season at Richland High School in North Richland Hills, Texas, has been on head coach Jimbo Fisher’s radar for quite some time, as the Aggies are in stiff competition with the Texas Longhorns, who joining Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M complete his final four school list.

According to 247Sports, Cruz is currently positioned as the 18th-ranked interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle and the 49th-ranked player in Texas, receiving nearly 30 total offers since the end of his junior season. Cruz visited Ohio State last weekend this summer and will make his way to College Station this weekend starting on Friday, June 9.
Cruz’s experience as a versatile lineman with the ability to thrive at both guard spots, combined with his experience after starting during his freshman season, makes it no wonder nearly every blue-blood program in the country vies for his commitment. This weekend, it’s Texas A&M’s chance to make its mark and take the lead in Cruz’s recruiting battle.
