In the ‘Big 33’ game over the weekend, Rutgers football commit Collin O’Sullivan had the winning touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter to lift to Pennslyvania to a 31-27 win over Maryland.
The 31-yard touchdown pass, with 1:15 left in the game, was a beautifully touched pass to wide receiver Kenny Johnson, a Pittsburgh commit. O’Sullivan, a Preferred Walk On (PWO) commit, gave his verbal to the program in mid-January.
A foot-11 quarterback, Sullivan attends Upper Dublin High School (Fort Washington, PA) and led his program to a 14-1 record as a senior.
In 2022, O’Sullivan threw for 2946 yards, 36 touchdowns, and had a 67% completion percentage.
His touchdown throw to Johnson came just moments after another touchdown throw was called back.
“We were up all game and Maryland took the lead with 2:30 left.. we got a first down and then I hit a wide receiver on a crossing route for a 60-yard touchdown but as he was going endzone, the ref called a crack back block that called back a touchdown. But we still got a 30-yard gain and ball on the 30-yard line,” O’Sullivan told Rutgers Wire.
“Very next play = we had bunch into boundary and Kenny isolated to the field. The safety was middle of field and I knew no way he could get over top to help on a fade, so he ran a go route and I put it in his outside shoulder and he made a great catch.”

O’Sullivan is an impressive quarterback, with an accurate arm and the ability to lead a receiver open with his passing. He reports to Rutgers on June 17.
