SWARM collective inks deal with Exile Brewing to promote Iowa Hawkeyes’ NIL efforts

In heaven there is no beer! Even more fitting now that Iowa’s SWARM collective will work with Exile Brewing on a golden ale to support NIL.

Saturday tailgates at Kinnick for the Iowa Hawkeyes are already as good as it gets. Toss in an exclusive beer to support the Hawkeyes’ NIL collective and you are in business.

As reported by On3’s Tom Kakert of Hawkeye Report, it was just announced that Iowa’s SWARM collective has signed a deal with Exile Brewing to produce “Swarm Golden Ale.” The partnership returns 20% of the sales revenue back to the collective. This is a move to help increase the influx of funds to the collective to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of name, image, and likeness in college athletics.

The SWARM collective and Exile Brewing plan to have this beer ready for the 2023 season and it is expected to hit shelves in July. This move allows stores, fans, and bars in Iowa City and around the state to get their hands on the product and have ample supply before the season kicks off.

This is one example of Iowa’s NIL effort to do everything in its power to introduce new ideas to raise funds with the increasing need for them but also be able to provide something to the fans and supporters in return for their contributions.

In heaven there is no beer, that’s why we drink it here (and to now support Iowa athletes through name, image, and likeness).
