Former Auburn offensive tackle [autotag]Colby Smith[/autotag] has found his new home and he will be sticking in Alabama. The Reidsville, North Carolina native announced his commitment to Troy Tuesday night on Twitter.
The 6-foot-8, 320-pounder spent two seasons on the Plains with his only game action coming against Western Kentucky last season.
He was a member of Auburn’s 2021 recruiting class which has seen 15 of its 18 members leave the program. The only players left are running back [autotag]Jarquez Hunter[/autotag], offensive lineman [autotag]Garner Langlo[/autotag], and safety [autotag]Cayden Bridges[/autotag].
Of the 10 Auburn players to enter the portal during the second window, Smith is the fifth to announce his next school, joining Kameron Brown (Chattanooga), Jeffrey M’Ba (Purdue), Desmond Tisdol (FAU), and Tar’Varish Dawson (Colorado).
