The hardest series lead to take in the NBA postseason is a so-called “commanding” 3-1 lead, and in Game 4 of the Boston Celtics’ second-round series with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Sixers came out like a team who knows all too well what will be the likely outcome of falling behind one game to three, winning the critical contest 116-115 in overtime.
Solid outings by Jayson Tatum (24 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 blocks), Jaylen Brown (23 points, 5 assists), Marcus Smart (21 points, 7 assists), and Malcolm Brogdon (19 points, 5 boards, 8 assists) almost won the day, but the Sixers leveraged desperation and the home crowd to tie the series up at 2-2.
Let’s take a look at some of the best plays captured in images from the Celtics’ Game 4 vs. the 76ers in the second round of the ’23 playoffs.
