Kyle Brandt ranks Daniel Jones in fourth tier of NFC quarterbacks

NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt ranks Giants QB Daniel Jones in the fourth tier of NFC quarterbacks alongside Kyler Murray and Justin Fields.

In 2022, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had his best season as a pro, leading the Giants to a playoff berth in a year where expectations were extremely low.

Despite his 2022 campaign, Kyle Brandt, host of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, isn’t ready to put Jones in the elite group of quarterbacks in the NFC.

It’s hard to debate the Eagles’ Jalen Hurts being in that top tier by himself. However, with Dak Prescott’s struggles last season, one could argue Jones deserves to be in the same tier as the Dallas Cowboys QB.

Obviously, the first three years of his career left plenty to be desired for DJ. However, Jones appears to be trending in the right direction and the Giants’ offense should improve in 2023 as well.

With the Giants adding Darren Waller via trade, Parris Campbell via free agency to go along with Jalin Hyatt and John Michael Schmitz in the draft, the offense is poised to be better in 2023 with the talent surrounding Jones.

Clearly, the Giants’ front office believes in Jones to lead the team going forward given the contract they gave him earlier in the offseason. And they remain hopeful the sixth overall pick in 2019 continues to improve this season and beyond.
