NFL.com: Bills earn ‘A’ grade for 2023 draft haul

An interesting note on LB Dorian Williams:

NFL.com gave the Buffalo Bills the highest of grades for their six-player haul at the 2023 NFL draft: A. In total, the outlet handed out only six top “A” marks and Buffalo took one of them.

But the analysis is what’s really noteworthy.

The Bills’ decision to trade up two spots to land tight end Dalton Kincaid was praised. Torrence, a pre-draft player that was called a first-round talent, was another positive pick in the second round by Buffalo according to the league’s website.

Round 3 is where the item that stands out is.

NFL.com believes that Dorian Williams has what it takes to be the Tremaine Edmunds replacement the Bills needed… right away.

Post-draft, Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane suggested the opposite. However, the outlet noted that the third-round rookie could have what it takes to line up at the mike linebacker spot next to Matt Milano in 2023.

The full breakdown, including on Williams, from NFL.com can be found below:

Analysis: I thought the Bills would move up for a pass-catcher in the first round, and that’s what they did to land Kincaid. Torrence was a steal because of the power and nimble feet he’ll provide in the run game and Williams should play immediately in Tremaine Edmunds’ old spot.

They picked an outside receiver with downfield ability in Shorter, who could push Gabe Davis. Broeker could have easily been a top-150 selection because of his toughness inside and experience at tackle. Austin has potential as a physical outside corner.
