A Wisconsin quarterback enters the transfer portal

A Wisconsin quarterback officially announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Monday. Badgers preferred walk-on quarterback Marshall Howe announced his choice via Twitter on Monday.

“This decision is not at all a reflection of the University of Wisconsin or the football program as I do believe there is great success on the horizon,” wrote the Badger quarterback. “I would not trade my one yer in Madison for the world…”

The Badgers have a crowded quarterback room after transfer portal season, as Wisconsin brought in Braedyn Locke, Nick Evers, and expected starter Tanner Mordecai. Howe had impressed in spring practice, moving his way up  to No. 3 on the depth chart, and it is simply a situation of him wanting the opportunity to be a collegiate starter on scholarship.
