Aggies head coach Buzz Williams is coming off his most successful season with the program after going 25-10 and 15-3 in the SEC, including their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since the 2017-2018 campaign. Even though their postseason appearance was sadly halted at the hands of Penn State in the opening round of the tournament, the future is so darn bright ahead of 2023.
As the focus now turns to both recruiting and the transfer portal, The Aggies have already landed former Illinois Chicago guard Jace Carter, while 2024 3-star guard Andre Mills out of Massachusetts committed to the program on Apr. 10. With the possibility of landing one or two more players through the portal, one player, 2024 four-star small forward Marcus Allen has caught the eye of Williams and his staff enough to reach out consistently. As an Arizona native, Allen is currently playing for the Florida Rebels, and is ranked as the 23rd player in the 2024 cycle, and is ranked as the 26th player in the 2024 class, the 12th-ranked small forward, and the 3rd-ranked player in Arizona according to On3.
2024 4⭐️ Marcus Allen is having a fantastic start to the grassroots season for the @fl_Rebels. He told me these schools all reach out a lot:
Missouri
UConn
Arkansas
Stanford
Michigan
Miami
Villanova
Indiana
Xavier
Marquette
Ohio State
Florida State
Cincinnati

Long arms, strong frame (6-6, 190 lbs), and key defensive instincts as a true wing are the central makeup of Allen’s skillset, aided by his tough old-school demeanor. I’m not saying that Texas A&M is a favorite by any means. but if Williams and his staff continue communications, never count the Aggies out.
