Jordan Addison is Adam Thielen’s replacement with the Minnesota Vikings. It’s a clean fit and a good one. It makes a lot of sense, and everyone can see it. That is the general view of the NFL community, both within and beyond the Viking organization, in the wake of Addison’s selection by Minnesota with the No. 23 pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft on Thursday night.
Vikings Wire — whom you will want to follow for extensive Jordan Addison coverage — offered this scouting report on Addison:
“Addison is a tremendous football player. Some players just get the wide receiver position and he is one of them. He epitomizes it in so many ways, mainly his intelligence. He understands where to be and what to do.
“That pacing he displayed … is something that he excels in. It isn’t just finding holes in zones, it’s everywhere. His route running though is something to behild. Being subtle in his movements and selling what he is doing to the defense. On this play, he does just that by selling an in-breaking route before taking it to the corner, creating separation with ease.”
